Description
“Painting in Primitive Style,” is a three-part series designed for adults eager to explore the charm and simplicity of primitive art. You will start by delving into the fundamental elements that define this unique artistic approach, examining its rich history and distinctive characteristics. Each week, you will unleash your creativity using acrylic paints to create your own interpretations of a cityscape, a serene garden vignette, a personal dream or image, and a contemporary life scene—one artwork per session. Through guided instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll not only develop artistic skills but also gain a deeper appreciation for the expressive potential of primitive style, culminating in a vibrant collection of personal artworks. No prior painting experience is required; just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to discover your inner artist!
All supplies provided including aprons. Students may want to wear clothing that they do not mind if they get paint on as we will be using acrylic paints that can permanently stain.
