Description
In this class, we will take the Zentangle method that we learned in our beginner introductory class and apply it to making drink coasters from wood slices.
You will be introduced to the steps I use to create my best-selling coaster creations found at the Cedar Keyhole art gallery on the gulf coast of Florida. You will be provided a 3 to 4 inch wood slice and, on it, we will tangle a coaster which you can take home and admire to your hearts content. We will use the natural rings in the wood to guide us on our journey. If time permits, we will add color with prisma color markers, making them truly a work of art.
Note: this is a beginner to intermediate class. The Introduction to Zentangle class is a prerequisite to this or, you must have a working knowledge of the Zentangle method. I will supply the wood slices that we will be tangling on, you will provide your black Sakura 01-micron pen. Pens and additional wood slices will be available from the store front.
The following are examples of wood coasters using the Zentangle method. Each coaster will be unique to the person making it.
This class has a minimum requirement of four students hold the class. Bring friends!
